ECHO Virtual STEM Academy is educational support to meet family and community needs with high-quality, at-home learning. Classes are standards-aligned, one-day-per-week, 6-week learning sequences for K/1st, 2nd/3rd, and 4th/5th grade students. The program is designed to support students enrolled in hybrid school programs/homeschoolers/at-home learning pods. Classes include a live science lesson in the morning (recording available immediately afterwards); at-home lesson plans; and facilitated small group sessions in the afternoon. To promote access, the program is purposefully low-cost (the full 6-week sessions are $30 for ECHO members and $45 for non-members). First session starts the week of September 21. Pay it forward…..
I am forever grateful for individuals and businesses who give back to their community. Kayla's Directory wouldn't run without the generous individuals and businesses within our community that support our mission. I was recently connected with Mark Quinlan, a man who fixes and sells bikes, with all the profits going to a local non-profit. After dropping off my bike for a tune-up, I was touched by his story. Kind, humble, and generous. A father who lost his son a few years back, provides bike tune-ups, fixes bikes, and takes donated bikes, cleans them up and sells them. All the money he earns is donated to the Boys and Girls Club. Check out his story Ride for Declan. Every bike he works on gets a "Ride for Declan" sticker. I now have three! Give Mark a call ((802) 355-0197) you are looking for a bike repair, tune-up, or are searching for a bike. Not only will you get top notch service, you will meet an amazing man who is … [Read more...]
